Cardiff University (UK)Beacon Scholarship

Scholarship is awarded to financially disadvantaged students from Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda who are looking to study a 3-4 year undergraduate course (excluding medicine). Tuition and maintenance fees are split three ways, with a third coming from the university partner, a third from Beacon, and a third from the scholar’s parents, sponsor or guardians. The programme includes leadership training and development, an away and home country mentor network, and a goal-setting performance management system.

University College London (UK)Denys Holland Scholarship

The Denys Holland Scholarship aims to support undergraduate students from any country, who without the support of the scholarship would be unable to secure the funding required to study at UCL, and who can demonstrate their intention to make full use of the activities offered by UCL and the Student Union. The scholarship is worth £9,000 per year for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress and scholars may choose to use all or part of the scholarship to cover fees. Any remainder is paid to the scholar as a maintenance award. Applicants must meet the following criteria: hold a valid UCL student number or UCAS application number; hold an offer of admission to UCL for full-time undergraduate study; in financial need; be able to demonstrate that they have broad interests and intend to be actively involved in and contribute to the life of the university; preferably aged 25 or below.

University of Oxford (UK)Reach Oxford Scholarship

A number of Reach Oxford scholarships (formerly Oxford Student Scholarships) are offered to students from low-income countries who, for political or financial reasons, or because suitable educational facilities do not exist, cannot study for a degree in their own countries. Scholarship covers tuition fees and college fees, a grant for living expenses, and one return airfare per year for 3 or 4 years, depending on course length. The University offers around 2-3 awards per year.

University of Westminster (UK)Westminster Full International Scholarship

Includes full tuition fee waivers, accommodation, living expenses, and flights to and from London. You must be an international student from a developing country and hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate degree at the University.  The criteria for awarding the scholarships are academic excellence, development potential, and financial need.


Merit-based

Cardiff University (UK)Vice Chancellor’s International Scholarship

Worth over £2M of funding awards to international students across undergraduate and postgraduate taught levels of study. Awards from £2,000 are available to international students across a wide range of subject areas. International applicants holding offers for selected undergraduate programmes will automatically be eligible for the Vice-Chancellor’s Scholarship. This means you do not need to submit a separate application to be considered for an award.

Univeristy College of Northern Denmark (Denmark): Danish Government Scholarships 

Eligible students must be enrolled in a programme at UCN. This scholarship programme covers 30-50 % of the tuition fees, which means that the rest must be paid by the student. Scholarships may be awarded for the entire duration of a study programme or for single semesters. Students who are awarded a scholarship from UCN may under certain circumstances also receive an additional partial monthly living costs scholarship.

Sheffield Hallam University (UK)Transform Together Scholarship

Exclusively for international and European Union (non-UK) students starting a full-time taught course at the University. A half fee waiver (50% discount) is available for postgraduate courses and for each year of an undergraduate degree. Scholarships are awarded to students who can demonstrate excellent academic achievement. Applicants also need to describe how they will stand out from the crowd as an ambassador for Sheffield Hallam University during and after their studies. Undergraduates will have achieved the English and academic entry requirements for the course. If you are awarded an undergraduate scholarship, you must successfully complete each year of study to continue to receive the fee waiver. Applicants must have accepted an offer for a full-time taught undergraduate or postgraduate course at Sheffield Hallam University and be fully self-funding.

Sciences Po (France): The Emile-Boutmy Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded by Sciences Po to students who are first time applicants from outside the European Union who demonstrate academic excellence and fulfil the profile requirements.
