Takunda Chingonzo is an entrepreneur  who loves working with new and emerging technologies, and believes that information technology should be an extension of the human existence. He is passionate about entrepreneurship in Africa and the nurturing of such into disruptive organizations that bring sustainable change. He is the co-founder of Neolab Technology P/L, a multi award winning company known as the “Startup factory” and is currently working on liberating the internet in Zimbabwe with his most recent startup Sai sai Wireless, which won the SWELL Innovation award at DEMO Africa 2014. Takunda’s Vision is to see a connected Africa leveraging on technology built by Africans, by striving to help build 100 startups in and around Africa by the year 2020. He has spoken at numerous international conferences the likes of the Global Entrepreneurship Summit, the Global Philanthropy Forum and the Clinton Global Initiative Middle East and Africa Conference. Takunda has had the opportunity to interview President Obama on issues relating to enterprising African entrepreneurs. His work with Neolab has seen him help build over 20 startups so far and has mentored a good number at events like Startup Weekend in pursuit of his life mission, which is to help build enduring companies. He recently was featured on the Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list titled: Tomorrow’s billionaires’. He is a Mandela Washington Fellow, Youth and Youth Fellow and Kairos Fellow and has received numerous awards and recognitions attributed to his various work in empowering and driving the spirit of entrepreneurship across Africa.
